The Stronach Group’s Adena Retirement Program, with locations in Ontario and Florida, re-trains and rehabilitates horses after their Thoroughbred racing careers have come to an end. Key members of the Stronach Group also actively serve on the board of the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.
The aim of our own retirement program is to match horses with owners who will provide a suitable, lifelong adoptive home. We are proud to report over 400 horses have found new homes.
In addition to the Adena retirement program, the Stronach Group formed the Thoroughbred Aftercare Program (TAP) of Gulfstream Park and the Santa Anita Park Aftercare Fund. Each program was established to take in horses and to help match them with caring owners who will make a lifelong commitment to their health, safety and well-being.
